General Class Amateur Radio License Course – Sponsored by RASON

Amateur Radio is a both a hobby and a service that brings people, technology and communication together. People all over the world use ham radio to talk across town, around the globe, or even to the International Space Station, all without the Internet or cell phones. It’s fun, social and educational, and during emergencies it can be a lifeline.  The General Class License is granted by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and is your gateway to expanded HF Privileges and will further your capabilities in the dynamic and exciting world of amateur radio.  To obtain a General license, you need to learn about operating procedures and elements of electronic theory that will be important for practicing the hobby.  RASON (the Radio Amateur Society of Norwich) will be sponsoring a General License Class that will be held every Wednesday night at 7:30 PM on Zoom – beginning March 16 and running through mid-June, 2022.  There is no fee to take the class.  You will need to purchase the General license manual from ARRL or Amazon. – click here for more details.

If you have questions or if you are interested in taking the class, please contact Mark Noe, KE1IU at KE1IUmark@gmail.com so we can send you the Zoom link for the class.
